Although
many of the necessary plant nutrients are found naturally in most
soils,
many nutrients are commonly in forms that are not readily
available for plant usage. Because of this we must often apply
larger amounts of fertilizer than would be necessary if a soil has
an active microbial population and an adequate level of Soil Humus.
Often,
because of problems in the soil, our crops aren’t able to take full
advantage of the fertilizers we provide them with.
Many of these
necessary nutrients may be lost to leaching or erosion.
Additionally
a large amount of nutrients undergo chemical alterations over time
that cause them to become unavailable.
This causes the plants to be
stressed and affects their ability to produce healthy crops even
though soil analysis might show the soil contains the large
quantities of all necessary nutrients.
At
Natural Ag Solutions,
our products help to reduce fertilizer loss.
Increased amounts of balanced nutrients are generally found in
plants when the soils have been treated with our products. This
translates into more profit to the farmer through higher yields,
higher quality, and lower fertilizer costs.
Additionally, because of the increased nutrient availability, the
plants often require much less water to pull up the needed
nutrients. Therefore, they only use the amount of water that they
actually need.
Humic Acid is a sequestering compound and as such, it is able to
break the bond of sodium and magnesium with clay particles in heavy
soils. Thus it reduces the tightness and compaction of the soil,
enabling it to be more easily tilled.
The resultant open friable soil sustains better water movement
through it and increases the aeration of the soil.
This produces
better root structure in plants, which in turn are more capable of
resisting drought.
